Connect2Car exists to let people reach a vehicle owner without exposing anyone's personal contact details. When someone scans a vehicle's QR or NFC tag, their message is relayed to the owner anonymously — phone numbers, email addresses, and home addresses are never revealed to the other party. This policy explains what we collect to make that work, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information you provide when you register — name, email, phone number, vehicle details, and a delivery address for your tags.
- Messages and requests sent through the platform, so we can relay them to the right owner and keep a record for safety.
- Scan and usage data such as when a tag is scanned and general, non-precise location context, used for your dashboard analytics and abuse prevention.
- Technical data like device and browser type and essential cookies needed for the site to function.
How we use your information
- To relay messages and connect calls through privacy-masked numbers.
- To notify you of scans, messages, and emergency alerts.
- To provide roadside assistance booking and tracking.
- To secure the platform, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
Data security
We protect your data with encryption in transit, access controls, audit logging, rate limiting, and QR-cloning detection. We're built to be SOC 2-ready and aligned with GDPR and CCPA principles.
Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can manage your details from your dashboard or contact us to exercise any of these rights. We will never discriminate against you for exercising them.
Children's privacy
Connect2Car is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
